Off Road Trail Spotlight: Pinnacles and Mineral Mt – St. George, Utah Trails

If you’re an off-roading enthusiast looking for a thrilling adventure, look no further than the trails of St. George, Utah! Here you can find two of the most popular trails in the region—Pinnacles and Mineral Mt. Let’s take a closer look at what these trails have to offer!

Take an unforgettable journey on the Pinnacles OHV Trail, a loop that encircles Enterprise Reservoir. Ride up Park Canyon with views towards Nevada and descend into the valley to witness incredible geologic formations known as The Pinnacles. Experience nature at its finest in this captivating adventure!

After traversing 45 miles of terrain, we arrived at our destination in a mere 3.5 hours without taking any breaks! Our speed was swift too; averaging out to an impressive 10.5 mph throughout the journey and ascending 2,100 feet up to 6,700′ before descending back down into Veyo’s 4,600′. It certainly made for one enjoyable ride!

Make the most of your day by accessing multiple trails on this trek, either taking a leisurely pace to explore or pressing forward for an entire day’s worth of riding. If camping is more up your alley, indulge in one of many options nearby. But if you’re looking for something more upscale, Enterprise has motels with better selection than Cedar City and St George have to offer!

This particular trail offers a delightful escape from civilization without sacrificing convenience. While there are no services provided along the route, you’ll find pit toilets when you reach Enterprise Reservoir.

Trail Details

  • Time: 4 Hours
  • Distance: 45 Miles
  • Facilities: Lodging, restaurants, fuel and groceries are all available out of Enterprise to the north. You can also find fuel and supplies on your way to the trailhead in Veyo. The trail is also close to the St. George and Cedar City area.
  • OHVs: All sizes. No width limits. ATVs, MCs, UTVs, 4x4s on most trails.
  • Terrain: Mostly dirt and gravel roads.
  • Signage: The area is well signed but a GPS is a huge plus.

Pinnacles & Mineral Mt Trail

If you’re ready for an adrenaline-filled ride, then Pinnacles is the trail for you! This is a moderately difficult trail that winds through narrow ravines and over steep ledges. It offers plenty of challenges along the way, including rock crawling sections that will test even experienced off-roaders. The trail also features stunning views of red rock formations, so be sure to bring your camera!

The Mineral Mt trail meanders through beautiful canyons and valleys with minimal technical difficulty. Along the way, you’ll come across old mining sites where you can explore remnants from days gone by. There are also plenty of scenic overlooks that offer sweeping views of St. George and its surrounding areas.
