Barclay, Pine Park, Veyo Off-Roading Trails
If you want to explore the backcountry areas around St. George with like-minded off-roading enthusiasts, then tag along on one of Dixie 4 Wheel Drive’s trail riding events. We will take you to some remote areas in the region away from the congestion of the more popular trails.
One of our more interesting trail routes is the Barclay, Pine Park, and Veyo route. These are all located to the north of St George on Utah Highway 18 and will have you marveling at the incredible wild beauty of this corner of Utah.
At Pine Park, you’ll get to off-road in a forgotten geological wonderland of white volcanic rock formations complete with hoodoos, pyramid-shaped domes, pinnacles, cones, crags, and slickrock basins. It’s about 20 miles west of Enterprise but you’ll feel like you’re in another world.
Veyo is another delightful surprise along this route. It’s perched on the edge of Dixie National Forest so you’ll be riding while checking out towering pines and Veyo Volcano in the distance. If it gets too hot you can take time out to go cool off at the Veyo Pool and catch crawdads in the canyon.
