The 2017 Winter 4×4 Jamboree will be held January 19th, 20th and 21st, 2017. Registration for the event will be online at the Winter 4×4 Jamboree Website , and will open November 1st, 2016. Trails will be limited to group size to ensure participants have an enjoyable experience, with more technical trails limited to groups of 10 vehicles ranging to the 2 rated trails limited to 25 vehicles.
During the three days of the event, Sand Mountain SRMA trails will be closed to non-participants.
Participants must first register on the web site and provide information about their vehicle’s modifications to ensure they will be capable of reasonably running the trails they wish to sign up for. After registering on the website, they can go to event registration (after November 21st) and sign up for trails.
The Winter 4×4 Jamboree will feature several additional activities:
- Thursday Evening 4×4 Rodeo – A fun contest for any event participant that wants to test drivers and passengers in their abilities. Some of the planned activities are “4×4 Darts”, “Spud Spearing”, “Driving Blind”, and “Balancing Act”. For full details, just come to the Fairgrounds on Thursday Night and join the fun!
- Friday Night Vendor Fiesta – A vendor show held from 3 to 9 pm that will feature a no-host food court, live music, and vendor displays. Also, registered entrants will be given a card to be validated by each vendor, then placed in a drawing for prizes to be held at 8 pm.
- Saturday Evening Dinner – a catered banquet for participants and their families from 6pm to 7pm. .
- Saturday Night Raffle – From 8:30 to 9:30 with many items to be raffled off and a few to be auctioned. All proceeds will be donated to land use with the intent of keeping trails open.
Winter 4×4 Jamboree is managed by the Desert Roads And Trails Society (Desert R.A.T.S.), a Utah registered non-profit organization. The event uses volunteers from the Desert R.A.T.S., St. George Jeepers and Utah Public Lands Alliance (UPLA). All proceeds from the event are donated to UPLA, U4WD and Blue Ribbon Coalition in support of Utah Land Use initiatives.
