Level III Technician
Dixie is a high end 4 wheel drive shop that focuses on building our customers usable vehicles. Technicians must be detailed and passionate about the industry. Full time technicians work Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm and may be occasionally requested to work over time if a pressing job is due but we try our hardest to keep our team having their evenings free for their personal lives. Technicians must have their own hand tools.
Responsibilities
- Participates in the repair and upgrades of automobiles and trucks;
- Maintains accurate work records;
- Uses the computer-based Equipment Management Information System to record work order information and access other information;
- Performs inspections before and after repairs/upgrades to ensure thorough and quality of repair and suitability of the vehicle for return to service;
- Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality, seamless customer service;
- Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Methods, materials, equipment, and operation of general automotive and mechanical repair shops;
- Motorized equipment repair, maintenance, and testing;
- The characteristics and maintenance needs of a wide variety of automotive products & equipment;
- Safety practices and principles;
- General trades techniques, materials, and practices of trades that are related to automotive and mechanical repair work;
- Strive to increase personal productivity
- Respond immediately to customer requests/messages
- Provide flexibility on shift hours, lunch schedule, and overtime requests
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ability to plan, make decisions, and prioritize
- Strong Aftermarket Automotive experience and knowledge
- Follow company policies and procedures
Qualifications
Level III Technician must have experience in all of the following:
Mounting Wheels and Tires, Mounting Beadlocks, Tire Patch/Repair, Wheel Spacers, Tire Rotation, Oil Change, Bolt on Suspension, Bumpers, Coil over Adjustments, Death Wobble Diagnostics, Drive line Measuring/Installation, Press Work, Wiring basic kits, Exhaust, Diff Service, Winches, Electric Steps, Toneau Covers, Sliders – Body mount and frame mount, Intakes, Gears, Engine Diagnostics, Motor Conversion Kits, Weld on Suspensions, Mig Weld, Transmissions, Transfer case, Clutch, Carburetors, Basic Fab, Roll Cage, Wire Diagnostics Turbos/Super Chargers

We are looking for someone passionate about vehicles or the off-road industry and with a positive team attitude. Job Responsibilities include: Receiving daily orders, processing returns, distributing parts to sales and service, processing used parts etc.
General computer skills are a must.
