  • Driving on sand requires skill. If you get it wrong, you could roll sideways on a dune, get stuck or irreparably damage your vehicle.

So why do we do it? Because it’s a whole lot of fun and with all the amazing trail rides this side of Southern Utah, it’d be a shame not to take advantage of them. Sand Hollow State Park alone has more than 15,000 acres of perfectly sculpted sand dunes and obstacles, enough to keep any outdoor enthusiasts happy.

  • Jeeps are built to be driven hard but leaving paved surfaces for off-road trails can take a heavy toll on your ride. Jagged rocks, hidden tree stumps, gravel plus lots of dirt and dust can be unforgiving on your vehicle’s exterior. The paint can chip, plastic housings can crack and the vehicle can sustain lots of other dents and scratches.

  • Proper spotting is essential to the safety of everyone around and the vehicle. Avoid real damage by following the best practices when spotting off road. Enjoy the following inforgraphic with some of the proper hand signals we use when spotting on the trails.

A Few Rock Crawling Spotting Tips

    • Stick with one designated spotter.

    • Make sure expectations of the obstacle are known.

    • Make sure both the spotter and the driver are comfortable with the obstacle and the relationship.

    • Remember it's all about enjoying the outdoors.

  • Jeeps are rugged, terrain-conquering machines built to go where other vehicles fear to tread. Your Jeep can easily go from being your daily driver to an off-road monster, conquering the gnarliest, most rugged terrains with seemingly little effort.

Just because their stock built is quite robust doesn’t stop you from adding accessories to extend your Jeep’s life or enhance its off-road capabilities. There are a variety of aftermarket parts and accessories that do everything from protecting your rig to ensuring you make heads turn when you hit the trails.

You can tow a trailer one day, churn through a muddy trail the next and still drive on pavement with your truck. That’s how versatile trucks are.

  • OHV (Off-Highway Vehicle) is a term used to encompass two-, three- or four-wheeled vehicles that have a motor and are designed for mainly riding on unpaved surfaces. This often includes ATVs (All-Terrain Vehicles), UTVs (Utility Terrain Vehicles) and other types of ROVs (Recreational Off-Highway Vehicles).
