Best All-Terrain Jeep Tires for Ultimate Off-Roading

With so many brands and types to choose from, it can be hard deciding which tires are suitable for your Jeep. As the premier 4×4 shop this side of Utah, Dixie 4 Wheel Drive can help you with that decision.

One of the things we always tell our customers is to consider how they intend to use their Jeeps. If your ride is your daily driver and you only intend to do some off-roading on weekends, a good set of all-terrains (AT) will suit you just fine. These are designed to be civilized enough for street driving and sturdy enough to hit the trails whenever you feel like it.

When budgeting for new all-terrain tires for your Jeep, keep in mind that you’ll probably need some new wheels, a Jeep lift kit and maybe some more custom Jeep modifications if you want a completely customized 4×4 build.

But whatever your needs and budget, we’re sure that there are some great all-terrain tires out there for you. Here are some outstanding ones:

  • BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2

There’s not a lot you can’t conquer on a set of these all-terrains. These tires have remained iconic favorites since 1976 when BFGoodrich launched their original All-Terrain. These particular ones have that classic tear-resistant tread pattern that makes for great traction and stone ejection while having excellent tread wear. They also have strengthened sidewalls and an increased lifespan.

  • Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure

If you’re driving a Jeep Wrangler, these tires are highly recommended. For added puncture protection, Goodyear has reinforced the sidewalls with Kevlar which also makes them cut-resistant. They provide excellent all-season traction and come with a 60,000-mile warranty.

  • General Tire Grabber AT2

These tires combine on-road competence with off-road versatility and offer exceptional value for money. They handle well on dirt-roads and deserts so are perfect for trails in the Moab desert. Additionally, their five-row interlocking tread pattern makes for better mud and snow traction. Despite this aggressive tread, they’re surprisingly quiet on highways.

  • Dick Cepek Trail Country

If you’re looking to combine on-road control with off-road capabilities, these are the tires for you. Designed with a five-rib tread and buttressed shoulders for an aggressive look plus increased traction, these tires securely handle tough terrains without wearing out. They’re also available in numerous sizes so you can easily find some to fit your ride.

  • Toyo Tires Open Country R/T

These Toyo tires have really durable construction with deep tread and sidewall for off-roading so they offer impressive grip and long tread life. They come in multiple sizes to fit wheels between 15” and 22” and are great for both highway driving and off-roading.

These are just some of the all-terrain tires available at Dixie 4 Wheel Drive. If you’re stumped on which ones work for your ride, pay a visit to one of our shops. Our 4×4 experts will be happy to help you choose the best tires for your Jeep.
