Utah Off Roading Trail Details, Ratings & Descriptions

  • There’s a lot more to our corner of the country than awesome trails. When you visit the southwest, you’ll get to immerse yourself in culture and even get a glimpse of the past. We have several historic sites including rock art dating back several centuries, dinosaur tracks and even historic buildings.

  • This being the holidays, we at Dixie 4 Wheel Drive are expecting lots of avid off-roaders to make the trip to the southwest to enjoy some of the amazing off-roading trails we have. We’ve seen an upsurge in the number of people interested in exploring the different trails in this corner of the country and we love it!

  • There’s a lot more to our corner of the state than the fantastic scenery and the thriving off-roading culture. This part of Utah is also steeped in history. When you visit the southwest to do some off-roading on one of our trails, take some time to also learn some history about the area. You can visit any of the historic sites, go dinosaur-track hunting or even make a game of spotting some of the numerous petroglyphs in the area. Don’t just confine yourself to the trails.

  • At Dixie 4 Wheel Drive, we like interacting not only with our customers but also with visitors who come to the southwest to get a taste of our awesome off-roading trails. Most of these visitors express interest in getting out and exploring the desert, taking in some of the scenery and getting to know the history of the area.

  • A lot of people who travel to the southwest to enjoy our off-roading trails are often amazed at the sheer variety on offer. Most of the time they assume that these trails remain the same for years on end. The truth is that trails are subject to change thanks to the weather. Floods and wind erosion contribute to wearing down of features and some obstacles making it necessary to keep maintaining trails or come up with new ones.

  • Let’s face it, as an avid off-roader, you sometimes want a trail that challenges you. Sure scenic drives are fine on occasion but they don’t really get your blood pumping.

  • There’s no place like southern Utah for off-roaders. If you’re planning a trip to the southwest to get a taste of the trails, you can’t afford to miss out on Sand Hollow State Park. This is a recreational haven for off-roaders, with trails to suit all driving levels from off-roading novices to veterans.

  • It’s no secret that Utah is home to some of the most incredible off-roading trails in the country. We at Dixie 4 Wheel Drive can attest to that. We regularly organize trail rides to get as many people as possible to experience the incredible trails that the southwest has to offer. Many visitors are often surprised that there’s so much variety to choose from- from hardcore trails to more leisurely scenic ones.

  • The beauty of off-roading in Sand Hollow State Park is that you can choose the trail you want to pursue. You can choose between driving on sand, rock crawling or a mixture of both and you’re sure to find a trail that meets your preferences.

  • For the next trail in our off-road trail spotlight series, we take a look at Front Range.

This is one of the newer trails at Sand Hollow State Park and it’s only about 3 or so years old. Front Range is quite popular and fills up fast, especially during the winter 4X4 Jamboree but not everyone is cut out for it.
